John Croom received a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial technology from East Carolina University. After spending several years in the Raleigh market perfecting his drafting talents, he was recruited to work in Wilmington with a renowned classical residential designer. In 2004, John embarked on a new venture when he founded Cornerstone Residential Designs, Inc. His affinity for classical architecture is evident in his attention to details and proportions. These elements of his designs and his affable personality have made his name a popular one in the Cape Fear area.
Troy Kenny’s passion for architectural design blossomed at the age of five. Driven by her desire to use her organizational and design skills in her career, she attended Meredith College and earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in interior design. In the years since college, she has experienced success in real estate sales, home design and residential construction. She enjoys staying up-to-date on customer preferences and the latest design trends. Troy, along with her husband Jim, founded Hagood Homes in 1996, and together they have worked with more than 700 families to create homes that are truly original.
After successfully collaborating on several homes, John and Troy decided to combine their home design inspirations, talents and skills to better serve their clients. The result is a thriving design team and business that creates home plans that are reflective of the charm and lifestyle of the Wilmington area. Design House works on both residential and commercial projects, from renovations to new construction, and its many repeat clients are happy to refer others to Troy and John.
